Other ways you can make a donation is "in-kind" donations for consulting or printing, donating supplies or mailing lists, sponsoring fundraising events, or paying for campaign  advertisements that are not considered independent expenditures.

Arkansas allows a nonrefundable individual income tax credit for cash contributions made by individuals to: 

  • A candidate seeking nomination or election to a public office in Arkansas.

  • The candidate's campaign committee.

  • An approved political action committee (PAC).

  • An organized political party in Arkansas. 

Effective for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2025, this credit is increased from $50 to $100 for individual taxpayers and from $100 to $200 for taxpayers filing jointly

  • Canvassing: Going door-to-door to engage with potential voters, introduce the candidate, discuss key issues, and encourage them to vote.

  • Phone Banking and Text Banking: Making calls or sending texts to voters to persuade them, identify supporters, gather feedback, remind them to vote, and follow up on questions.

  • Voter Registration: Assisting with voter registration drives and educating voters about the registration process and deadlines.

  • Postcard Writing: Sending handwritten or pre-printed postcards to likely voters, reminding them to vote or highlighting campaign messages
